 nt that there are no fundamental obstacles to building a quantum computer, 
 in which the peculiar phenomena of quantum superposition and quantum entang
 lement can be used as powerful resources for the fast execution of algorith
 ms. However, realizing the necessary physical conditions in which the ideal
  action of quantum computation can be realized has been a challenging effor
 t undertaken in many labs over the last twenty years. I will give an exampl
 e of how superconducting quantum circuits, through many generations of refi
